Irrational Parmaceutical Promotion Practices

Brand promotion is double edged: it is necessary to effectively market a
product; but can also harm the interests of consumers. This is especially so with
medicines. Unethical promotion practices of the pharmaceutical industry have
caused grave harm, as this article illustrates.
